Forgetful Bard is a site for the posting of my fiction works to share with others. Along the way, I am likely to also share narratives of gaming experiences and nostalgia of good adventures related to role-playing games as that was what the site originally was used for. Creative endeavors are the focus here. I will be starting things off with my on-going supernatural/suspense story “The Nights Ahead”, but there are other tales to tell.
“The Nights Ahead” is a story set in a metropolitan city where most of the inhabitants are blind to the ravenous creatures that reside among them – preying upon them. It will follow former detective Jeremy LeBlanc, who is ready to give up on life before he comes to see that he may still be able to help others when it truly matters. It’s a somber tale about his encounters with darkness in the world as he searches for a woman who may already be the victim of a serial killer. The closer he gets to finding this missing woman, the more he discovers about the bloody web of deceit and death that has ensnared the city.
Chapters from “The Nights Ahead” will be posted the first of each month. If there is a second chapter (or something extra for the month), it will be posted on the 15th of the month.
