Samantha’s First Miniature
When we first bought the Dark Vengeance set and opened the box I was overwhelmed seeing all the pieces to the miniatures. We were going to have to put all of those together. To battle each other. Oh yeah, and paint them first. Continue reading “Samantha’s First Miniature”
The Competition!
Let it be known! Samantha and I had a competition painting our first Warhammer 40k miniatures and after a busy two weeks of her working on her art business and me fixing stuff around the house that shouldn’t be broken – we’re done. We wanted to let you decide who you thought did the best (vote for Chris!)
The rules were short and sweet:
- Only five days of actual painting were allowed (due to art commissions, Samantha had nowhere as much free time to paint as I did.)
- The paints had to come from the Citadel Hobby Starter Set.
- The loser has to base coat all the other miniatures.
Here are the pictures! Who do you think did a better job? Vote in the comments.

So … that Warhammer 40,000 thing
I have made a horrible mistake! Not a bad mistake, a good one. I bought a starter box for Warhammer 40,000 over the weekend. With all my experiences and familiarity with role-playing games, there are two areas I am sorely lacking in knowledge – miniature games and card games. Continue reading “So … that Warhammer 40,000 thing”
